Our instructional design team consists of five Lead Instructional Designers (IDs). If you are interested in working with an ID to develop an online course or improve an existing online course, please fill out the course request form. We'd love to design with you!

Dr. Dan Dao pedagogically consults with faculty on structuring course content and activities for student learning. He works with faculty in collaborative partnerships to design and develop online courses in ICON.

 

Dianne Gregory

Dianne Gregory collaborates with faculty to create engaging, creative, and effective online courses.  With more than 20 years of higher education teaching experience, Dianne’s interests include meta-cognition, digital literacy, teaching through storytelling, and student engagement. She works with faculty to encourage strong online teaching practices and enjoys helping instructors feel confident in the online environment.

Isandra Martínez-Marrero collaborates with faculty in the design and development of accessible online courses that foster interaction and active learning. She consults with faculty on best practices for online teaching, emphasizing the importance of creating a strong instructor presence to guide and engage students. Isandra holds an MA in Performance and Training Technology from the University of Northern Iowa and enjoys collaborating with other UI departments in the design and delivery of professional development workshops.

Susan Bailey works with instructors to transition their courses for effective online delivery. Susan holds an MS in Instructional Design and Technology and draws from her experience as both an online instructor and an online/distance student to provide sound pedagogical support.
