ICON Updates to Assignments, Discussions, and Announcements
Manage Availability and Due Dates with the New "Assign To" Tray

The redesigned "Assign To" interface for managing availability and due dates features a slide-out style tray and separate fields for dates and times.
You can quickly access the slide-out tray from the Assignments page by clicking on the Options menu for an item, then select Assign To from the list.
The Assign To button is also available while viewing the details for an assignment, discussion or quiz.

Redesigned Discussions and Announcements Interface

The Discussions and Announcements Redesign project brought significant changes to the instructor interface.
The Edit button for both Discussions and Announcements is now found in the Options menu.
For group discussions, a Groups icon is displayed on the menu bar.
To open a group discussion, click on the Groups icon, then click on the name of the group you want to open. Note: The Groups icon does not appear unless groups have been created for the linked group set.
Instructors and students can also use new tools such as View Split Screen and Sort options to view and organize discussion posts.

You can now set Availability from and Until dates for Announcements (under the Options > Edit menu). This replaced the previous "Delay Posting" tool.
