  • Quality Matters (QM) 7th Edition Rubric – Online, Asynchronous  
    Learn about changes made to the QM Higher Education Rubric in the Seventh Edition, released on July 5, 2023. The rubric is updated periodically to reflect community input, new research and changes in best practices. Changes include new information for reviewing synchronous online courses and a focus on inclusion and belonging. Take advantage of the training course for QM members, available for free through the end of 2023.

  • Addressing Accessibility & Usability July 6, 2023 – July 20, 2023 (Thursday – Thursday) 
    This two-week, asynchronous workshop will guide you through designing a course with accessibility, usability, and readability in mind. Discuss challenges your learners may encounter in online learning environments and how Universal Design for Learning can be utilized to create an optimal, easily navigable course for your learners. A minimum commitment of 5-6 hours per week is recommended to successfully fulfill this workshop’s learning objectives.

 

  • Inclusive Assessment: (Un)Grading for GrowthJuly 24, 2023 – July 30, 2023 (MondaySunday)

    This asynchronous workshop begins with a discussion on common concerns around digital learning assessment practices and provides alternative approaches to these assessment types. Delve into topics such as authentic assessment and course alignment and familiarize yourself with broader strategies like (un)grading and learning contracts. By the end of the workshop, you will be equipped with a plan to begin implementing alternative assessments into your course
